Sherghati is situated on 42 km south of Gaya town and 30 km from international tourist
site “Bodh Gaya”. Sherghati lies between two rivers named Morhar and Sorhar river,
look like an island. It fulfils all criteria of becoming a district, including vast areas and
population. Attractive scenes of mountains, forests, rivers make this town looks
beautiful. Sherghati is the part of Magadh Division. It is also a vidhansabha kshetra. It
has a glorious past or history.
